Gui Boratto has completed work on his third full-length, III, due for release in September.
Since his debut release in 2003, Boratto has become one of Brazil's most prominent electronic music artists. A slew of singles released in the mid-'00s helped to establish the onetime architect's emotive and pop-oriented sound, but he truly broke through when Kompakt released his debut LP in 2007. This time around—if The Drill, an EP taken from the forthcoming album is anything to go by—audiences can largely expect the same chord-heavy approach the Sao Paulo native showcased on his previous two albums. Luciana Villanova, best known for her work on Boratto's 2007 hit "Beautiful Life," returns for vocal duties on "This Is Not the End."
