Here are instructions for anyone that wants to post tracks on the blog using the technotransmission Filefactory account... (EDIT: most of this info below is unnecessarily detailed... james has just discovered that the process is much simpler - see comments at the bottom. we're on a learning curve.)
(can we do this better with soundcloud perhaps? filefactory is hideous, but private at least.)
Go to http://www.filefactory.com/
sign in as:technotransmisson@gmail.com
password: technopassword
Here you upload files. You can create your own folder, or just upload to MUSIC folder. You can upload multiple files.
When your uploads have finished, click: TOOLS (top) and then: MUSIC PLAYER.
YOU MUST CREATE A FRESH PLAYLIST>
Press next>
(Change the layout/player settings and preview if you want to.)
Press next>
GENERATE THE HTML CODE> press the Green button and then the HTML code will appear.
You can then paste this code into the BLOG as a new post. DONE. (If you want you can edit the sidebar Techno Transmissions LIBRARY - using CONFIGURE (top of page) and then edit Gadget tools) There are issues with sizing when you do this, but trial and error, and a little examination of the HTML code that you paste (use WIDTH 250) will soon fix it (see techno transmission library to the right).
Get it? Got it? Good.

I just uploaded a johnny d tune and edited the "transmission library" playlist.....no need to create new player/fiddle with html.

ReplyDeleteReally funny that, I was trying to create a techno transmission gmail account last week and technotransmission@gmail.com was taken, and so I gave up pretty easily. Then you popped up and did your seriously awesome work, and then I though oh shit man Ian was that dick who took it, what a dude! and now it wasnt you cus there's a typo, and so now I don't know who it is...
