PlastikManLive

very brief youtube vid of behind the scenes at the current plstkmn tour.
detail light, but the raave looks intenseO when it gets going:

For Good Measure

Although this track was posted during our email days of old - I felt it had to be posted up on here. It's such a cool track - tech grooves in good taste. Super Cocoon sound.

OK this might turn a few heads... Hobo on M_nus

We'll see...

Captain crunch's crispy crinkle clusters...

fuck the gay summer happy house vibe this is the raw shit.... most of it is sandwell district stuff from birmingham.. those guys are serious they don't follow any trends, they just do the same mind numbing shiz over and over...

hope the quality is up to your standards Ian. X

Deep Progression

I requested that Slugster seek out some deep house and inadvertantly I have stumbed across some - I have only skipped through this mix but what I have heard I think I like.

It's quite like if Logical Progression Made house - it would sound like this - a mix by Chloe Harris - it's lightweight but serves its purpose well I think.
Chloe Harris - Transitions Guest Mix For John Digweed by chloeharris

And she's a total as well.

Slug - will you send through some stuff that really takes you crinkle crispy into dark places? thx.

Jazzy. Anyone else?

Kyle Hall

Sound Check: Kyle Hall from doDetroit TV on Vimeo.

This Detroit kid is very interesting. He makes and plays very strange Detroit stuff, only plays vinyl, has been producing since he was 11, went to a bunch of gifted schools and DJs at Panorama Bar, Fabric and Plastic People. He's like Moodymann but half the age and not a dick.

Check it out.

Ceadmon Loop - Anthea & Celler

I heard a lot of great music this weekend. Enjoy this housey roller.

How to proceed an epic post?

I think its safe to say that we have all pretty much stood dumbfounded by that last truly epic post. I mean what are the chances?? Especially of that very, well, lets just say animated moment, and not to mention Pip, busted wearing sunglasses in a club! Its all techno-too-much.
I guess the only way to proceed such awesomeness is to continue the recent grand vibes with the posting of even more vibes. Vibes in the shape and form of two gentle rollers that also mark the arrival of the weekend and, of course, of the gorgeous (UK users only) weather. Oh yeah.

Andreas Gursky

So some of you may know the German photographer Andreas Gursky, he's a pretty big deal. In 2007 one of his snaps was sold for $3.3 million which made it the worlds most expensive photo. Gursky is also good mates with Sven Vath and did a series of photos of Sven's club Cocoon

I was looking for a hi res version to stick at the top of TT. Unfortunately I failed, this was the best i could find....

The guy who took that photo in some exhibition also took some close ups of the crowd. As I'm looking at this one I start to see a few familiar faces!! er....is that Pip in his green shades Fillipe!!!.....Bally!!!......Bently!!.....Tally is that you?!!why are you wiping your nose Bently??? Bally what are you peering into? Is it something interesting in Phillip's hand??...Regard...

Bently maybe its about time you join this blog then you can give us a professional valuation of this photo, we could club together and buy a print.

Sends you pot pot pot pot pot potttty

Hey you guys. For those you guys who liked confronted here is another boppy number. I think it carrys on on the minimalist Rimmerman vibe.

VIBE!!!

Very happy about this one - at the 'Night with Michael Mayer' a few months back I managed to track down everything that I wanted to except this little number which has eluded me thus far.

Rebotini - CM (Chloe remix)

It's a mega vibe - could be played in any house or techno set and sound excellent. It's a little genre buster, perfect for day time beach vibe or some dark sweaty speicher time. It has minzletron written all over it.

Analogue

Culture - check this out - looks like a funny film about analogue nut cases

George Delkos

Benj check.... you must have heard of this guy from thessaloniki.... he has been dropping tech house/progressive bombs for a couple of years now... this was his first and best...looking for a mix for yall....

soz for my delayed posts i have no internet at home x

Superfoals

This one for you Jack - since we were speaking about SuperMayer - thought I would put up this mix of Foals - although you probs already have it.
Olympic Airways

Mayer played it at that night and I had never heard it out - sounded serious.

heidi one hour mix on radio1....... simples

Sossa & Davide Squillace

Its midday and the energy is already building on the terrace of Circo Loco in DC10 as Sossa sets the vibe and Davide continues to build it up. This was a day to remember, so reminisce if you were there, and enjoy it if you werent... but remember: Circo Loco lives on!

THe Riot - Dustkid

Not normaly his normal flex. A real rampaging ripper and is slightly Grindhouse vibe and is only really acceptable on a loud club. Pretty cool. I felt this would follow nicely on from my last post the Oddyssee.

The Riot - Dustykid

Extrawelt - Neuland EP

I've always been a huge fan of these two Hamburgers. Their remarkable ability and style of collaborating and mixing the dark and depressing with the beautiful and serene has always been such a 'techno turn-on' for me. Their latest Neuland EP, a three track collection, is a perfect example of this 'polar mood mix'. It really reminds us that the dark can be beautiful whilst the serene can be depressing.

Odyssee 2_Len Faki

Thought I should carry on the Faki vibe. This belter had heavy basline and a thumping beat to accompany it. It really does feel like your on some journey. Especially when the eerry sound kicks in after 5 mins.

Really wanna try nailing a massive line of K and seeing where this tune takes me. he he

Wicked tune but does take a while to get going.

Daten Ubertragungs Kusschen - Dominik Eulberg

This is a very cute number with lovely techie elements and a gorgeous sweet melody to it . Hmmm ooooh yup.

Hawtin chats breeze... (again) aka: [Hwtn chts brz]

If your climate has become stale, and you could do with a fresh gust of wind in your day, then why not listen to Hawtin fueling this crackling fire with breeze, at the Red Bull Music Academy, Fireside Chat, from 2008.

He talks about lots of stuff such as, 'pushing people out from the inner core', 'connecting with the kids through the cube', and how 'vinyl sounds shit', and 'beat matching is for dweebs'.*

But seriously, it's a nice listen if you have a quiet 30 mins to yourself. Old Plus 8 and Minus stuff.
(Loving the minimal groove on Disconnect).

* Actual breeze may differ slightly from quoted.

This is primarily a message to slug - I want to hear a really good progressive house set - one of the best. can you locate and upload?

thanks

Gurwan ArGouilh

Hey you guys,

Thought I could put up some funky house. Not normaly my tinkle but a nice chilled vibe none the less. Its gets quite interesting after about 35 mins.

Sorry no tracklist Ian I am afraid. The ibiza voice website is full of wicked shit actually. You can download loads of cool sets.

Trance Transmission

Hey guys!

I was looking for a trance blog and came across this gem....
i'm giving cocoon a miss this year and heading here on Mondays

01.23. amazing.

Alex_Santos_amp_Chris_Woodward_-_Village_Vanguard [Buzzin' Fly]

Bringing things closer to home, I think we have another great example of a tune that you cannot pigeon-hole. It's a more traditional house beat, with Balearic tint, and techno soundscape. They've even thrown in some brass on the breakdowns and given it a high-brow jazzy title to further confound those dirty pigeons. Summer time.

This label is great: http://www.buzzinfly.com/

Trivia: Buzzin' Fly label owner/founder, Ben Watt was one half of Everything But The Girl w/ Tracey Thorn. Wherever he goes, we will follow him...

Run Into Flowers (Midnight Fuck Remix By Jackson) - M83

Few tunes will ever continue to send shivers down my spine like this precious gem. I first heard this, and I'm sure a lot of you guys did too, on Michael Mayer's Fabric 13. This tune doesn't care if its played on your best pair of headphones or on a shitty 1/4watt mono-speaker, it simply sounds amazing on anything.
I have no doubt you will all agree that it's an indescribably beautiful piece that's set for the ages..

Alex Niggeman

Guys check this guy out,

He is from Daissldorf a pretty sick. You can listen to his podcast at the end.

His first commercial release, a remix of Booka Shade's awesome 'Darko' (Get Physical Music 2006) was subsequently released to great acclaim.

After completion of his studies in 2007 he concentrated on his music full time. In 2008, he had releases on labels such as Meerestief, Micro.fon and Moonpool, to name just a few. From then on things snowballed, Audiofly signed him to Supernature, Nick Curly & Gorge snapped him up for releases on their label 8bit, Jimpster wants him for Freerange Records
and also Ralph Lawson from 2020 Vision wants a piece of his rather fine pie for 2010. After having several topsellers and gigs all over the globe, Alex Niggemann was in Top 10 of Resident Advisor’s “Top 20 Charted Artists 2009”, leaving DJs such as Joris Voorn, Ben Klock and Johnny D a.m.m. in the ranking behind him.

In 2010 releases on Supernature, 8bit, 2020Vision and on his own, just found, Label Soulfooled will follow. In January, also his “Play House EP” will be published on dutch BLABLA Records.

Push on Through.

I first came across the remix of this a couple of years ago and only just heard the the original. Got to say that I love it lots - it's has the warmth of deep house, but the edge of some more minimal tracks (would mix well with Doppelwhipper I think - someone try this please {jack?}). Reminds me of my first visit to Berlin - sunrise tracks at Panorama Bar and Ian punching the air with his big fists.

Here’s a pretty interesting thing from radio1… retrospective of the Essential Mix.

Particularly good is the daft punk minimix from 1997…

And the flying lotus from 2008 (it’s not techno but don’t tell anyone).

-I wish the LTJ Bukem mix from 96 was available too…but anyway. X
