Hawtin chats breeze... (again) aka: [Hwtn chts brz]

If your climate has become stale, and you could do with a fresh gust of wind in your day, then why not listen to Hawtin fueling this crackling fire with breeze, at the Red Bull Music Academy, Fireside Chat, from 2008.

He talks about lots of stuff such as, 'pushing people out from the inner core', 'connecting with the kids through the cube', and how 'vinyl sounds shit', and 'beat matching is for dweebs'.*

But seriously, it's a nice listen if you have a quiet 30 mins to yourself. Old Plus 8 and Minus stuff.
(Loving the minimal groove on Disconnect).

* Actual breeze may differ slightly from quoted.

  3. ps - LOVE disconnect - but think the vocals might be a touch on the bleak side:

    i try in vain
    to disconnect my brain
i don't know if i can handle it
    handle so much pain
    i don't know what's left to gain
all the guilt and now the blame
i don't want to stop this game
i'm starting to enjoy the pain
i don't care what you claim
i still hear your voice replaying
    the only thing that remains
    is to disconnect my brain
    I try to disinfect
    and sanitise my brain
    perhaps i wont be satisfied
    until i go insane
    Disconnect my Brain.

  5. m. mayer played it when we went to see him a few months back - he played for 350 people from 2200 to 0600 solidly - dropped it around 0400 and it still sounded amazoid. I remember Vath playing it that night and wondering what the hell I was hearing - it's a creeped out driver of a track.

  7. Like on a wild acid trip, there is no concept of time when you tune-in to techno transmission. x
