Oh yes. Yes. YES. Tune of the weekend for sure. Along with all the minimal stuff that Geddes(?) played a few hours previous. I really felt like i was 'lost in Berlin' at that point - something that is hard to achieve without actually being in Berlin. Other tunes that we heard a million times were http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TsVJud0BDs - Oliver S - Doing Your Thang (sounds like Robin Ordell - the show, but slightly more dancefloor, and a little OTT perhaps). We also heard Julio Bashmore - 'Battle for Middle You' about a trillion times - which in my opinion was at least 1000 Billion times too many (especially when the DJ is cutting up the intro like he's just bought his first Gemini scratch mixer, with all the lights and buttons).

Dark Sky's set was basically unforgivable, people absolutely should not be allowed to DJ out if they are that shit at it.
ReplyDeleteDoin' Ya Thing is again totally overrated but does have a vibe.
Geddes is from the UK, surprisingly, but it was him playing the seriously minimal stuff before the other guys stepped things up a bit.
Such fun all around, great to see you before your next adventure Ian! Will definitely see you more often now you're closer than Brazil.
